CALCULATING AND CONVERTING MAC ADDRESS....

hey my people pls i have forgotten and will want to knw ASAP how to calculate and convert mac addresses to ip address.

for instance for those of u who are familiar with the linkstar via sat, u knw the mac addresses under the modem have to be calculated to form an ip address pls how is this done i have let it skip my mind (poor me) may the gods of computer forgive me..(lol)

The way of checking MAC Address associated with IP Address is done using ARP Command. Plz elobrate the question!!!

ashok_nitc are u familiar with linstar modem, if yes u knw when u want to commission a site u have to calculate the IP address using the mac address under neath the modem... so thats wat i am asking.. and using it as a reference... wat if i was to convert this mac address to an ip address how will i do it...

You translate from Hexadecimal to Decimal (via a scientific calculator) the last 4 digits of. the MAC address to the last 6 ...
