Credit card transaction data rate???

We need to transport Credit or Debit Card Transaction data through satellite network from one remote location to the other...If someone can give me idea how much usually is the data rate required for these kind of Transactions to build our network sizing sheet so tht network can support such traffic .

32Kb is typically enough. There's not allot of data thats sent and recieved during a credit card transaction and it's all text with parts of the transaction encrypted. Beyond that I would really check with the company who does the transaction processing to get more detail.

I agree with semper, we had a system installed that just uses a 64kb/s ISDN line for everything
