I have an IP range of, 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.3.254 with a subnet of 255.255.252.0

The address range is class C and the subnet is class B.

Will this ever cause a problem?

How important is it to stay within the class ranges, everything on the network is working correctly?

Is it worth changing the address to a class B range, 191.116.0.1 to 192.116.3.254?

Fist of all your subnet is fine. Secondly, once you subnet a network it is not considered "class" anymore, it is "classless." just make sure auto-summarization is turned off on your router. Also RIP and IGRP will no longer work.

Also RIP and IGRP will no longer work.

May I add my two cents?

To be exact, RIP v1 won't work anymore... RIP v2 is classless and will handle this subnet without any problem.
