How to use ARP Proxy with 3 pysical networks? was created by aymoush
Hi guys....
We all know that proxy ARP works with 1 router over 2 physical networks, where the router is the middle man between the 2 physical networks....
My question is: can Proxy ARP be used with 2 routers interconnection 3 Physical Networks ?
and how will the routers behave in this architecture if it's possible ?
Explanation will be much appreciated...
Thanks

If two routers are connected on the same physical network and perform proxy ARP, there will be a race condition, the client will use the MAC address from the first ARP reply it receives. If the two router are connected on the same physical networks, it won't be a problem... Except if you use NAT because the NAT tables won't be synchronized and if the return path is on the other router the NAT entry won't be found...
