Hi, i read a post somewhere on this forum about using cygwin to run linux OS as well as a screenshot of it. anyone able to point me to where i could find this post or provide me with info on how to do this please? thanks in advance

While Cygwin is a powerful piece of software, which I use quite regularly, it does not actually run a linux OS on Windows. It does however allow you to run you an amazing number of *nix apps that have been been recompiled to run on the platform. You can also use it with versions of Windows from 95 onwards.
