Hi all, I have seen the movie - Warriors of the net a couple of times but do not fully understand it, albeit im a networking student at Uni. The movie talks about how the Internet works. My question is about data flow when its requested which is what the movie is about.

Does the information requested by the user come from the remote server via the remote firewall via the Internet
> localfirewall via local network ---> local webserver ---> web browser --> user? Would be glad if one could give a concise explanation. thanks in advance

Hi Skylimit,

The objective of the movie is how the internet request is passing on the WAN and how the packets are passing over the Switch, Router, Firewall & Webserver.....

From this movie you can understood how the data were broken into packet and it is assembled i.e paket labeling and indexing...at layer three..

After packet conversion how its moving out too WAN...through the porxy and firewall if its configured at local network...

And duty of router...like directing the packet to the respective path...and droping or find the unknown packets....

after the proper redirecting the packet is reaching the destination and at the destination based on the firwall rule the paket will be permitted on webserver end and read the request and send back the aprropriate data to the source...
