First thing to check is if the client is actually connected to the network itself.
1. Call up a command window, and type in "ipconfig /all". This will indicate if the client has a network connection, and the relevant IP and gateway information.
2. You can then start troubleshooting by trying to ping the gateway.
3. If this is successful, you could try try to access an internet location by IP address: You could try 64.233.167.99/ for google.
4. If the above is successful, then you probably has DNS issues.
Generally if steps 1 and 2 are successful, you problems will probably lie with your internet gateway, and any subsequent steps will depend on its nature.

Hi Vilasini,
Do you have a list of everything that you have already tried to remedy this issue ? It would be helpful to know what troubleshooting you have done and what is working from the client. Did you try DaLight's suggestions, did they all work ? Can you give a breif description of the infrastructure (i.e. how are you connected to the internet ? Do you go through proxy servers ? etc..) Is it just this one host thats experiencing problems or everything on the network ? It will help us to focus on the area of the network most likely at fault.
Thanks

Hi Smurf,
Actually it was a question given by an expert to find out 30different causes for not able to access internet. & the boundary for this question is just the client system in the network. I found possible 15causes starting with very beginning like physical connections, type of cable, LED status in the CPU, NIC installation, DNS, TCP binding, different browser, etc. Would like to get more...
Thanks.
