How to control the too much WAN traffic generated router was created by prabhuk
hi all,
In my office there are some packet drops in our MPLS VPN network. The vendor said . our line is utilized more than the limit, so it shows some packet drops. In router ,I give ip account command our WAN interface generating too much traffic.
What could be the problem?, Anyone please tell me the solution.
regards

You need to monitor the traffic going to/from your WAN link. Your vendor is right; if you saturate the line you probably will lose packets. Also, try to correlate the traffic level with the problems - when do you get packet loss and/or user complaints? If it is during high traffic periods, a batch job or backup for example, then that's further evidence that saturation could be the cause
