IPCOP configuration

Hi all, new here . Hope you all can help
I have a need to isolate my home network from my wifes business network .
Im running adsl via an M1122. running DHCP.

Ive been advised to try IPCOP.

The reason i need to segregate is she will be having staff using a few pc,s online and i need to safeguard our goodies.

Ive tried it (ipcop)every which way.
I can get out on green ok (home network) but not orange or blue. ( the office network)

any detailed help would be much appreciated.

(An added bonus would be to see the orange from green , but that is of minor importance till I get it working)

I am surprised that you can't access RED (i.e. the internet) from ORANGE as this is a default setting. To allow traffic from BLUE to RED, you will need to enable this using the BLUE menu options. Check out this link for default traffic flows in IPCOP.

Also, you should be able to see ORANGE from GREEN by default (see above link).

Have you changed any of the default settings?

Hi thanks for the prompt reply. Ive been away for 24hrs ..
Can you post the link again? I left all settings as default, modified access in blue (dhcp) if thats where you are referring to?

Ive now reloaded as green orange red.
192.168.1.1 green
192.168.2.1 orange
DHCP red

in the gui i dont see a page to add any ranges for orange as there was in blue. connecting up as above green out ok. noout from orange.I can ping from green to orange and back.

Also, one thing to note is that machines on Orange cannot use the IPCOP for DNS or DHCP. So ensure that they all have static addresses. In addition, you need to specify DNS servers other than your IPCOP.

You should use your wife's office PC's on BLUE, this will provide proxying, dns caching, dhcp etc and block access to green.
