They dont!?
If modems dont have IP's then let me reword it. The dynamic IP that I am getting from my ISP via the modem is giving me a certain IP...
I also have a NIC card....
I want my NIC card to have have the same IP as the IP that I am getting from my ISP when I dial up to their service.

You can't.
You cannot have 2 addresses the same on the same network. This is even if you are connected through a VPN connection.
Why would you want to?
