A question on OSPF ----DR and BDR election was created by ccnx
hi guys
i have an question on the DR and BDR election in a OSPF network. I assume that i have a network 10.4.0.0 network for two ethernet interfaces on two adjacent routers. The address assigned to the router 1's fa0 interface is 10.4.0.2 and the router 2's fa1 interface is 10.4.0.2. Also, they are in the same area.....
So which interface would be elected to be the DR and BDR??

I'm not familiar with the Network Routing Protocols. Links below should provide you with the necessary information on how a DR and a BDR is elected

www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2328.html
