And to add to all this...& clarify things further.
Subnetting would effectively decrease the number of usable hosts on a network.
But would increase the number of subnets.
Class C network (without subnetting) = 254 Usable Hosts.
Class C network (with any amount of subnetting) = The sum of usable hosts in different subnets would always be less than 254.
