I believe where people are getting confused is the difference between classful and classless networks. Classful follows the rules of traditional Class A, B, and C masks. Classless doesn't follow these rules and allows you to give a Class A address a mask of say 255.255.255.0 for example. Yes, you can use a Class A mask for a Class C address.
CIDR and Supernetting are terms that can be used interchangeably. The linked article on CIDR is good to get an indepth look this, as is firewall.cx's. Just go to Networking -> General -> Supernetting/CIDR.

Friend, stop looking for other people to spoon feed you and find answers for you. You gotta do it for yourself and the only thing people can do is to point you in a certain direction and its upto you whether to travel the road or not.

hi guys.. i have some answers to this ... ill appereciate u guys can correct me if this is wrong....
If i understand the question correctly it was:->
is this 193.128.7.8/12 a valid range of addresses?
Mask /12 255.240.0.0 11111111111100000000000000000000
Twelve 1s in the network portion of the address
Lowest 11000001.10000000.00000111.00001000
193.128.7.8
Highest 11000001.10001111.11111111.11111111 193.143.255.255
CIDR block of 2^20=1048576 addresses (IPv4).
or maybe I cannot use /12 with 193.x.x.x (as it is class C)?

According to me its correct as it follows the rules of sepernetting which says that *block size must be restricted to the power of 2,
in this case because ur using a /12 cidr aka supernetting, changes are being made in the second octet that is .128,if we obey the rules of sepernetting 2^8=16,
128 through 143
193.0-15.0.0
193.16-31.0.0
193.32-47.0.0

i.e first and the last nework are in the same block so we can apply supernetting to it..
