hi,
i am using the cisco asa firewall. i am going to configure a vpn connection so that the outside vendors can connect to our iinside network. but i am little confused about one thing , i.e, if the vpn client want to access my network, does the client have to use the cisco vpn client tool or not? or if there is any other option for connecting without installing the vpn client tool? please kindly suggest me.
Regards

Hi niss123,
No you don't have to use Cisco's VPN client. You can use Windows own VPN client using L2TP over IPsec. Have a look here:
www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/prod...186a00807213a7.shtml
The document above uses a RADIUS server. But you don't have to use one too. You can configure it in a simpler manner without a RADIUS server.
