802.1x authentication using packet tracer? HELP!! was created by secstud
Hi everyone,
I'm using the newest version of packet tracer, i'm trying to set a 802.1x port based authentication but the instruction "dot1x" doesn't work for me (in (config) mode), anyone having this trouble?
When i tried to set a radius sever authentication, the client should it be the address of the vlan of the cisco switch?
When i do so, the only thing i got is when i access to CLI of the switch there is a demand of a username and password but me i want the PCs to be authenticated by a login and a password, do you have any clue? how can i make the PCs authenticate and verify the result?
What is "key" for in AAA server configuration and how can i set it correctly?
I know these are lots of question but i'm using cisco documentation but still things aren't very clear.
Thanks for helping me.

Hi secstud, Not sure I fully understand some of your questions, So before I dig into the unknown, it would help if you could post your pkt file so we can check it. You could upload it here:
