A Commodore Vic 20 is what I cut my teeth on when I started to play with computers back around 1983ish, then later a Commodore 64. I remember going down and buying a 300 buad modem and connecting to CompuServ (back when the internet was really a big chat room and a place to buy generic stuff like flowers and airport service) also using the modem to....uh...well you know...
And for backup using a Commodore tape recorder and later the 1541 5 1/4 disk drive. Prior to that you would spend countless hours pounding out code to play some dorky game just find out the code dont work and you have no way of saving data to goof with it later....ah those were the days.
