I discovered that as a publicity stunt Microsoft are giving away USB keys filled with information to help us all comply with their licensing arrangements and make them lots more money.
If you'd like one, go to www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mysterysolved/corp/default.mspx and click “VALUABLE INFORMATION” on the right side of the screen. You'll be asked for your details and the answers to 5 questions. If you look on the web page the answers are all there.
To complete the order you need a Microsoft .Net Passport login (or an MSN Messenger account). If you don't have one, they make you create one. But it's a small price to pay.
Don't say that Bandit Bill never gives us anything for free!
