CompTIA Certs !! was created by Tarun
Hey guys, i was just checking out the CompTIA site, it seems there are no CompTIA examination centres in India or else no one in India is interested in them, but i guess they are good to build up your fundamentals. Like the CompTIA A+, & Security+ certifications.
Any Ideas ?

Hi,
I suppose there are no official training or examination centres in India. I am not really aware about it but u can appear for the exam at any of the Prometric or VUE centres.
I had appeared for the Security+ certification a couple of years ago and am very happy that I went for it.

I am really interested in appearing for Network+ , & Security+ & if posssible A+ also, do you think it is that useful in India, or would i be just wasting my money which i could have better utilized in doing a CCNA ?

See it all depends upon where do u want to go further ahead in ur career.
If you are doing CCNA, then you couls possibly skip Network+.
Security+ would give you a basic introduction to the field. Go for it only if you have an interest in Information Security. A+ I think is more of a hardware cert., i don't really see the point in doing it.
