A real kick in the face...

Went back to school today for my sixth and final semester... and found out I have to purchase CCNP 3 and 4 + the lab companions as well as Cisco Fundamentals of Network Security.

It's a kick in the teeth because I was (ignorantly) under the impression that CCNP only consisted of the 1 and 2 books I already have. I also thought this because we barely even touched the second book last semester. Anyway, so now I have to spend $400 on 3 texts and a lab companion for 11 weeks of classes. Ouch!

Sorry, just felt like venting a little. Also angry because I have classes all summer long .

Owch... that hurts!!

An update to my rant in case this helps anyone else. I ended up ordering my text books from compman.co.uk that somehow sells technology-related textbooks for ridiculously low prices. In fact even after the shipping cost and taxes are applied I will save about $150 Canadian!! I am going in with a friend from class to save on shipping as he bought last semesters books from there without a problem.

I definitely recommend anyone here take a look before they saw off an arm and a leg at a school bookstore.

Just a follow up to my last post... I got my text books in 4 days (shipped from the UK to Canada) so that was awesome. Ended up saving $150 on books I bought. Wish I had known about this place for CCNA ;(.
