Hey,
Quick question,
are the check point certs looked apon very favorable at all ? CCSPA and CCSA
are they hard?
a lot of networky jobs are asking for experience in check point and one asking for cert in checkpoint. seeing though ive got no experience with it and theres not chance of buy it, would the cert be a good idea ? ipchains/tables looks like peanuts compared to checkpoint!

Thanks

not to get into a debate about it, but iptables is kernel level packet filtering, whereas CP is a complete firewall application. However iptables is completely extensible through modules. Have you ever looked at Smoothwall, IPCop, Asataro ? They've got all the features that CheckPoint has, and they're basically a frontend for iptables.

Cheers,
