While I'm not certain about the first question, the answer to the second question is B.
VTP Stands for Virtual Trunck Protocol and is used amongst switches that support VLANs. The VTP protocol allows the switches to update their database and be aware of any new VLANS that have been created.
The VTP protocol is a whole study its self and we will be covering it in the near future.
