MCSE NT4 to 2003 via 2000 was created by naddyboy
Hi People
Help Again !!!
I wish to upgrade from MCSE NT4 to 2003 ... The information I have is that my NT4's SE has the equivalence of passing the elective exam for SE 2003.
However ... I want to have atleast MCSA 2000 or even better SE also covered in my upgradation path.
Upgrading from MCSE NT4 to 2000:
5 Core + 2 Electives
The 2 electives can be the following NT4 exams:
Exam 70-059: Internetworking with Microsoft TCP/IP on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
&
Exam 70-081: Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5

Upgrading from MCSE NT4 to 2003:
6 Core + MCSE NT4 (Substitute for the 1 Elective)
Source URL: www.microsoft.com/traincert/mcp/mcse/windows2003/
Upgrading from MCSE 2000 to 2003:
Needs to pass the 2 upgrade exams:
Exam 70-292: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment for an MCSA Certified on Windows 2000
&
Exam 70-296: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment for an MCSE Certified on Windows 2000
Source URL: www.microsoft.com/Traincert/mcp/mcse/windows2003/upgrade.asp
Considering all these upgrades, can I qualify to MCSE 2000 and 2003 with this approach:
MCSE 2000 5 Core exams + MCSE 2003 2 upgrade exams for SE 2000
= MCSE NT4 2000 & 2003 ?
Regards,
Syed

Hard decision.
I would probably go for the 2000 as there is lots of 2000 work out there and will be for awhile. Then you only have to take 2 more exams for 2003 (thats only one more exam that the 2003 credential) and you have both in this way.
