I have recently started classes at a local community college to prepare for the CCNA exam. The instructor says that using abbreviated commands on the CLI will deduct points from the simulation test questions. I can't find any documentation to support this. In fact I have found places that say abbreviated commands are ok. Do you folks have any feedback on this?

hi, the ccna is not so difficult as it sounds, prepare for eigrp and ospf lab simulations, In some non cisco elabs, you cant use the tab key for the command autocomplete, so cisco suggest you to learn all the command syntax, but in the real world, believe me, I always use tabs of course I know the syntax, and I first type it in my mind, but in the cli I really tab the abreviated command and the tab completes it.
for the certification exam It also works the tab key.
luck!
