Please help me on deciding my second exam for MCSE :? I have to select one, Exam 70-297: Designing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure or Exam 70-298: Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network. Please tell me which one is better.

Thanks

Hi, metthew,

I think 70-291 will be good choice. If you have that option. But then if you have to choose from the two you specified i would choose 70-298.

What you gurus say about that??

Cheers... :D

matthew30,

The way I make my selection for the next exam is to carefully examine the curriculum covered by each exam and then selecting the one I find most interesting.

This way its almost guaranteed you won't let the book start picking up dust, while you half way through the material, because you've simply had enough of it :)

I always make my own decisions on this things because I understand the time and effort required to get that 'Pass' :)

I've passed both these exams.

Personally I found the AD design (70-297) exam a breeze, 70-298 was a little more challenging, but in general design exams are less technically challenging (lots of reading though)

If you're on the MCSE:Security specialisation track you have to do 70-298.

If its a case for one or the other, go for the one which you would find most interesting/are stronger in

Thanks for your suggestions. I also find exam 70-298 is better for me because this exam needs the work experience with implementing and administration a network operating system and designing a network infrastructure. So now I am going to start preparation for this exam.
