Routing Simulator? was created by RedRanger
Greetings:
I am the red ranger. I am 16 years old in CCNA 3. The academy I'm in has a routing simulator called Boson's Cisco Network Simulator. I wanted a copy of it, but the teacher wouldn't give me it due to the fact that it required a serial code and all that legal shit. Anyone know where I can get a good network simulator for free and/or with a serial? Please don't suggest Packet Tracer, that program only has RIP v2 as a routing protocol, no IGRP, OSPF, or anything. I'd be forever appreciated.

Shortly there will be a real free Cisco lab right here on firewall.cx. As far as a free simulator, good luck on that one. I'd suggest buying Cisco Press' Intro and ICND set, you'll get two great books as well as the Boson Network Simulator. I bought it a while ago for not much more than $50 USD. Good bargain in my opinion.

I think some U.S. high schools offer CCNA now. That's kind of interesting because it almost seems like it's discouraging going to college. Certifications in the U.S. are normally a separate (and much shorter) process than college degrees.

Wow, I thought that you could start CCNA at any age everywhere. I go to a technical high school that just started offering a CCNA course that also has WOW CWDSA certification possibilities also. The cool thing about this course is if you pass the certification, you get 16 articulated college credits at the local community college around here. I started it in 10th grade and I am going to finish it this year. Hopefully, I'll start parallel enrollment next year with the local community college. So, if you seem to struggle with CCNA 1 when you take it, drop me an email at illegalcereal@gmail.com. I'll be glad to help.
