Actually the new patch release cycle is different.. its supposed to be a monthly cycle... which IMHO is a mistake..
So you don't get those overnight patches anymore.
Not to mention that most of the time the 'overnight patches' really don't work too well..
Microsoft's patching program really needs some QA... I mean look at the latest reviews of SP2.. one reviewer installed the Release Candidate 2 on 10 systems..... 7 failed to come back up again after the reboot.
Lets be rather frank about it, Microsoft doesn't do a very good job supporting their operating system...
