How is this possible? was created by Losh
Recently i had an internet problem and after contacting my ISP to fix the issue: the tech talkin to me asked that i allow him to access my cisco 2801 so i allowed him to telnet but with a limited privilege, how did he know the ip address of my PC and it wasnt using dhcp? While logged in to my router, he asked me if i was using ip add 192.168.1.200 which was exactly what my PC was using! He freaked me out!

He could have checked the ARP table on your 2801. using show arp command
