confused on a simple firewall issue was created by FlipRich
Hey guys, I'm studying for the CCNA Security exam and I have a simple question about firewall technology.
Stateful firewalls allow internally initiated traffic through the firewall.
Isnt that what the "ip inspect" command does? What's the need for "ip inspect" rules if the firewall is stateful?

I asked one of my co-workers the other day and he told me not get caught up with all the terminology in the studies.
He said when you use ip inspect it pretty much makes the firewall stateful..
