asa5505 exchange https timeout was created by bcsnick
Hi,
We have a Cisco ASA 5505. I have a user with an iPhone and a user with a windows mobile phone, the iPhone user seems to be syncing more often then the windows mobile phone, the windows mobile phone user also reports that out of no where 60 emails will come into his device. When I look on the windows event viewer for the machine that has Exchange I see these messages when both users sync:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Server ActiveSync
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3033
Date: 10/27/2009
Time: 11:24:38 AM
User: BCS\artt
Computer: BCS-ES1
Description:
The average of the most recent [200] heartbeat intervals used by clients is less than or equal to [540]. Make sure that your firewall configuration is set to work correctly with Exchange ActiveSync and direct push technology. Specifically, make sure that your firewall is configured so that requests to Exchange ActiveSync do not expire before they have the opportunity to be processed. For more information about how to configure firewall settings when using Exchange ActiveSync, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 905013, "Enterprise Firewall Configuration for Exchange ActiveSync Direct Push Technology" ( go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=905013 ).
For more information, see Help and Support Center at go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp .
When I go to that link it says:
To resolve this issue, modify the firewall time-out values for HTTP(S) connections to the Exchange server to be greater than the default time-out limit of eight minutes.
Does anyone know how to resolve this on the ASA 5505 with the ASDM?
