PIX - No Layer 3 on interfaces after reload

I have a PIX 515E and running 7.1(2) software. If I make changes using ASDM I can route traffic through my firewall, but if it reloads there is no IP layer3 on the interfaces even though they are up/up (see below), the start & run config are correct, but if I try and use the CLI through the console to change the interfaces (shut / readd the IP addresss / no shut) it makes no difference. The attached devices see thier interfaces as up/up but the arp-cache is incomplete.
I have to reset back to factory defaults.
Any idea what the issue is

PIX01# sh int ip brie
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
Ethernet0 unassigned YES unset up up
Ethernet0.1 unassigned YES manual up up
Ethernet1 unassigned YES manual up up
Ethernet2 unassigned YES unset administratively down down
Ethernet3 unassigned YES unset administratively down down
Ethernet4 unassigned YES unset administratively down down
Ethernet5 unassigned YES unset administratively down down

Are you saving your configuration when rebooting? seems a weird problem

What would be the behavior if you did every thing using the CLI after you reset to factory defaults? I've seen a guy before having problems with saving the config using ASDM. But this one is a little bit strange.

If no use, A post of your final config can help. You could mask out any private info.
