Hello Everybody,
I have posted in the past in regards to Networ Logging, but quite frankly I never got a straight answer. I am looking for a network logging solution that will provide me with detailed networ logs of users on the network.
We currently have the FortiAnalyzer which is a product from Fortinet. The unit simply logs all kinds of junk. The logs that are provided are very messy. Granted, most networl logs are messy their has to be a solution available that provides somewhat detailed logs.
I am looking for a solution other than WebSense. This solution is very expensive. I have looked into Untangle. But it seems that Untangle doesn't provide stored logs for more than a certain time.
For all you network administrators out there, what are you using to monitor your network traffic?
Thanks,
ZiPPy

I'm not 100% sure what you are looking for. You mentioned websence as a possible solution but, WebSense from what I understand is a web content/control/monitoring solution. (url filtering and reporting) Web only not really a whole spectrum solution.
If thats what your after you might like

Let us know "exactly" what you want to see from a solution though.. might be able to help further.
