Hi All,

This issue was driving me mad too.. Cisco TAC provides no help.
I have been able to resolve this but im not 101% wich of the two actually resolved it.

It seems that i was running too old IOS image on our 6513 sup720's compared to the minimum requirements.

I first IOS upgraded to 12.2(18)SXF10a
Then i upgraded FWSM away from safe harbour to 3.2(4).

After upgrade the xlate issue has vanished. Wheter it was the FWSM sw (most likely) or the untested 12.2 version we ran that caused the problems i do not know.

You should revise the known bugs for 3.2(4) that has been resolved in 3.2(6) for your environment before upgrading.

I am struggeling abit with the FWSM causing TCP out of order packets but not to such an extent that it is a problem for our datacentre.

I am still having this exact problem.

I tested FWSM 3.2(1) , 3.2(4), 4.0(3) with IOS 12.2.33(SRC) , IOS 12.2.33 (SRD) etc .. even tried other (new) FWSM blades.

It's really to bad nobody has come up with a solution or cause, this issue is now backdating to 2006? :)

In our situation we are not using any NAT/PAT translations, thus we just turned off the xlate table, all the xlate problems went away.

The command at global config prompt is "xlate-bypass".
