IPCOP multiple WAN and blockouttraffic

Hi, I'm new to the forum - is there like a search in the forum ?

1. How to setup multiple WAN with IPCOP - Clarkconnect non free version has that capability
2. I use blockouttraffic it blocks email login for Gmail, yahoo mail, lycos but seems ok with hotmail and excite mail. How can I enable the gmail and yahoo mail ?

IPCOP does not have this functionality built in and I don't know of any addons that provide it. However, you can try Monowall , a specialised FreesBSD-based firewall distribution that does this out of the box.

Have you got the clients pointing to your proxy server?

I'm using transparent proxy - it is set on - The clients can browse the net fine except for site that uses certain ports otherwise they can surf ok

I've fixed it - but not sure whether it is safe - I've enable the port for https since both yahoo mail and gmail is using https

That's why you had the problem. Setting to transparent proxy only redirects port 80. If you had set the proxy clients to use the IPCOP as their proxy, it would have worked OK.

Just to answer your other question - yes there is a search facility. Have a look in the big 'forums' box at the top of the screen and you'll see it there. This excellent facility lets you search all the posts on firewall.cx and is a great way to access the condensed wisdom of our many contributors
