hey sahir..
right now i am looking at apache logs...all the ip addresses of the machines tt visited my site, on my server is recorded...
i was wondering whether theres any command to add in the conf file tt would allow me to see the machine's name...like my comp name is blue...so i wanna see blue...is there any way to do this?
thanx

You can setup DNS resolution for the logging but its highly not recommended as it will slow things down terribly.. Either way the 'name' you're talking about is the Windows netbios name, and it will not resolve to that.. If you want to get some information on the IP, do a whois query on it.. or nslookup..
Doing reverse lookups before logging is a very bad idea.. really !
