I have read these two articles from two different resources
www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=24686&rl=1
www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product...ld16icgd/ld16apa.htm
Isn't failove command issued on a Standby PIX, whether a Standby PIX is primary or secondary ? because in the first article it says : "Primary-Standby"
www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=24686&rl=1
To force a unit to be the active unit, use the " failover active " command on the Primary-Standby unit, or the " no failover active " command on the Secondary-Active unit.
www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product...ld16icgd/ld16apa.htm
set the " failover active " command to initiate a failover switch from the standby unit, or the " no failover active " command from the active unit to initiate a failover switch.

Its irrelevant of the Primary/Secondary, that command is just used for failing over.
If you run the "Failover Active" command on the Standby unit, it will switch it to Active. If you run the no version of the command on the Active unit, it will switch it to Standby.
