Port 1755 was created by psiclonius
Hey Everyone,
I create a signature on my cisco IPS 4215 to alert when port 1755 was in use from the source IP (trying to stop Streaming). I knew I would see traffic coming from public address to my private, but I'm also seeing local traffic using 1755 as well. What else uses this port beside Streaming? How can I identify what application is using the port #?

A couple of suggestions for starters:
1) Capture some packets with Ethereal/Wireshark and have a look what's in them
2) Using the above capture find out which machines are originating the traffic. Then have a look what is intsalled on them, and by a process of elimination work out which application is responsible. Or spy on the user!
