Vlan in PIX

Hey, my customer are complaining about the file transmission slow down after I have set up vlan in PIX 515E(generate virtual port on physical one), they now feel unacceptant to get data from this vlan... ...I am wondering how bandwidth changed with the port changed, or some solution would be applicable, it is so kind of you to help me, thanks!
