Hey Guys,

As I type my ipcop box is running at home, defending my network from the forces of evil. (I Hope!) Anyhow, i can to log into it from my work pc, which is running windows xp sp 2. When i login with the ip address from my ISP along with port 222, root and password. I get network connection error. Does anyone know why this occures.

I don't understand your question. I thought you said you could log in from your work PC?

Hey Guys,

This is my situation, i have a pc with windows xp sp2. I want to log into my ipcop box at home. I tried to use winscp but for some reason, i get a network connection error. "Network timeout" I called home and my box is on.

Ssh is enabled.

You do realise that you will need to explicitly grant access for connections coming in to your RED interface. You will need to go to the "Firewall/External Access" menu and add a rule granting port 222 (or whatever port you run SSH on) access for your Work IP address.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I will do that. One more question. I installed OpenVPn on my ipcop box and on my windows pc. I assigned my ip address and generated a host and client key. but when try to start the process, its doesn't start. Do you have any takes.

Make sure that any routers in between your windows PC and your IPCOP support VPN passthrough.
