I read through the official Cisco material and also attended a bootcamp to pass the exams. Once i got the grounding from the bootcamp i started to let loose on our kit (only do the Pix and VPN at the moment but i have just got in an IPS box to do some playing with it)

The bootcamp was good because they had all the proper kit which you could play around with

some people say that cisco IPS exam is the most difficult CCSP exam. what do you think about it? is it because of regular expression questions? Is there a lot of them?

Its all changed since i did the exams but, yes the exam was the hardest when i did it. I failed that exam 3 times before finally passing the damn thing  But, got there at the end

To be honest, i'm not that clued up about the new CCSP course since its changed, when i did it it was IDS (now its IPS since it can now be inline) and also the ASA device wasn't around.

I have a cracking forum that i use for all my Certification stuff if you want to PM me (no i don't have any affiliation to the site, just passing on a great resource  )

Cheers
