I use the corporate laptop to work from home. It worked beatifully until recently (the vpn client software was upgraded to version 4.6).

I can establish the vpn connection, but nothing else work (I use ipcop 1.4.10), i.e. no traffic goes trough (apparently).

Everything works if laptop is connected directly behind the ADSL modem (bypassing IPCOP).

Any idea where I can start to look at?
Do I need to open up some ports? e.g. 4500

Thanks

For IPCOP versions above v1.3, IPSEC VPN passthrough should work out of the box. As you have confirmed, the VPN worked great until the upgrade. I'm not familiar with the Cisco VPN client, but maybe someone who uses it regularly may be able to shed some more light on any changes in the new version.

for further info, I get exactly the same problem (IPCop in the middle stops it working) but I use the open source vpnc client, so I'm pretty sure it's IPCop and not the client software at fault.

try to open upd 500, 4500 and 10000 ports.
eventually 50 and 51 might be necessary as well.
