Hi,
I'm not sure what you are after!!
If you have a DSL connection, doesn't that mean it is on all the time? However, how are you connected? Do you have a router connected to your phone line? If so, I assume there is a "network" light on the router, which would be out if there is no connection.
The only other thing I could suggest is if you know an address outside your network. Get a copy of Free ping and install that on your PC.
Hope that helps

you are right i have a DSL router connected to my phone line, i tried to see its logs but i did not got anything
I want just a simple program that will test every, let say minute, if I have an internet connexion or not so then i can see if i was disconnect or not when i was out or not.... it 's like a log for my internet connexion.

If you have a router connected, you should have a management console? usually when you install the router onto your PC, it puts a shortcut onto your desktop. I have a BT one connected to mine, and when I click on the shortcut it takes me to the main screen. But, if I type /management at the end of the url, it takes me to an advanced screen. If you get to one of these consoles, you might be able to see a router address of the ISP. In which case, using something like free ping will show you if the connection is down. Don't know if free ping keeps logs, but I think it might.
If all else fails, have a look on google and see what you can find there.

To check whether your connection is still there you need to ping something outside your PC. You could ping say your ISP's DNS server address. If you want to, you could go outside your ISP altogether and ping something 'out there' like a time server or a known gateway. As Rockape says, freeping will do it or you could write your own little script
