Sw 1 ( i want monitor connection on port 5 - 20 from this switch)
===
monitor session 1 source interface fa0/5 - 20 both
monitor session 1 destination remote vlan 99 reflector-port fa0/24

-already make vlan 99 as remote-span

sw2 ( my sniffer sniffing at port fa0/9 [EtheReal] )
====
monitor session 1 source remote vlan 99
monitor session 1 destination interface fa0/9

fa0/1 on both channel already set as trunk port connecting 2 switches...

Do you have a connection from your reflector port (fa0/24 on SW1) to SW2? If so, disconnect it. Your configuration looks correct, what kind of traffic are your expecting to see? Is this a lab environment or production? Try doing some pings from a workstation plugged into one of the monitored ports, and see if it comes up on ethereal.

the port become "mulfunction" when act as reflector port...
thats what i understand... :)
so there are no connection on it...
but the light is still on...

hmm...
i think 2950 "not really" support RSPAN...
i got a few icmp when i ping.. but not everytime i ping
and never got any telnet conversation....
so.. i just assume that 2950 not really support it...
is that right?

this is just a lab enviroment... wanna try some RSPAN...
thanks for ur reply..... :)
