I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my BelAir 200 unit but having problems doing so, I start my tftp server(3CDaemon) and in the upload/download directory I put the path

C:\Document and Settings\raj\desktop\BelAir Sofware & Configs\BA200\Rel 3.0.0.2005.03.11\

Once that is done I telnet into the unit and from system type the command

upgrade load remoteip 10.1.1.15 remotepath C:\Document and Settings\raj\desktop\BelAir Sofware & Configs\BA200\Rel 3.0.0.2005.03.11\

I get the following error

Downloading checksum ...
File Download Failed!!
Load upgrade failed. Please retry!!!

I know this is somthing really simple but I cannot figure out what

Anyone have any suggestions ?

P.S the syntax for the command is

upgrade load remoteip <tftpserver> remotepath <tftpSubDir>

Hi Steve_UK

Don't know the BelAir unit personally but I'd have thought that the upgrade command would need not just the path but the full filename of the firmware file complete with the extension:

C:\Document and Settings\raj\desktop\BelAir Sofware & Configs\BA200\Rel 3.0.0.2005.03.11\filename.ext

Otherwise if you had several files in that folder, how would it know which one to load?

Also, and I know it's really obvious, but it should be 'Documents and Settings'

Third suggestion is to use the Browse button in 3CDaemon to set the path rather than typing it in as this eliminates any mistakes

Also unless you are certain about whether your unit is using TFTP or FTP for the update, set up both of them in 3CDaemon just in case

Finally check permissions on the file
