UTP Cat6

At work the new network infrastructure is cabled with UTP Cat6 cable. I'm used to connecting RJ-45 plugs to Cat5(e) cable. I do know that the blue and brown pairs are used in Gigabit Ethernet and that I have to connect them as well.
Does anyone know if connecting plugs to Cat6 cable differs from Cat5 cable?

Demon,
Cat 6 cable differs from CAT 5 only in quality. It's considered higher quality of the standard CAT 5 and used for gigabit ethernet networks.
In Cat 5 100Mbit networks, we use only 2 of the 4 available twisted pairs, with Cat 5e/6 1000Mbit networks, all 4 pairs are used, eaching giving a max of 250Mbit, hence 4x250=1 Gig.
From memory, there is a limitation for the maximum length of a gigabit network which is 25 meters ... can anyone else confirm this ?
