What do you mean by "monitor [your] ADSL connection"? Do you want to sniff packets or just view bandwith usage or?

I know you specified that you would like the application installed on a client machine, but if you've got a spare machine lying around (Old Pentium), you could stick and IPCOP www.ipcop.org between your DSL router and server.

As well as providing firewalling facilities, it will give you extensive logging and monitoring capabilites

Dalight's suggestion is not bad actually - I believe it would be well worth the experience and results you'll obtain from it!

Do let us know what path you choose for your monitoring!

Cheers,

IPCOP ( www.ipcop.org ) provides all that and graphically as well!!! But as Chris hinted, it may involve a bit more effort that you may have originally planned, but from my experience it will be worth it.
