Hey Guys,

I'm planning on building a network in my house.I'm using Trendmicro Internet security 2005 on all the systems. For added network security i was looking at their virus hardware box. I wanted to know has anyone used the" trendmicro virus box" on their network. I'm not sure if its worth purhasing?

Thanks,

Lindows

Sounds like overkill to me.. a hardware a/v box for a home network. Instead just install good a/v on the hosts (I would sugest Kaspersky if you can get it), and then make sure you're firewalling the Internet connection -- an IPcop implementation would serve you well, plus it has a built in IDS.

Ok, i guess i just a little security crazy. I'll give the program you mentioned a try. I'll look for the ipcop with the IDS service. I'll leave the virualbox alone.

Thanks again Admin,

Lemme know how it worked out, I love hearing about home network setups.

Thanks again Admin,
