It depends on what they're being used for I suppose.
If they are providing public services (which Im assuming they are) then they'd be best off on a DMZ from your firewall (we hope you have one of those and no a router doing packet-filtering is not a firewall no matter what anyone tells you lol) in which case the DMZ would have its own subnet
So yeah.. i haven't quite understood your question, but I think they should be on the same subnet.
