Hi Nevins

Thanks again for the help. We only have an unmanaged switch, so, i guess port security is out.

Let me read on the vlans again and try it out. I believe I can only setup vlans using the router with dd-wrt firmware?

Here is the user guide for the WRT54G, I do not believe it supports the features for port security or VLANs as a gateway router.

I would say it's time to upgrade some hardware but maybe someone else here knows how to make that toaster run like a f-16. What devices do you have to work with? How big is this network?

Hi Nevin

Set up the router using fixed ip, and setup the server firewall to block that particular ip address.
