Running a Cisco VPN connection as a Service was created by Arani
Hi All
Is it possible to run a Cisco VPN connection as a service?
My setup is a Cisco VPN connection being run from a server. I have RDP connection to this server, and whenever I log off, the Cisco VPN disconnects as well.
What I need to do is even if I log off from this server, the Cisco VPN should still be connected to the remote site.
Is this possible? If yes then how
Looking forward to some responses.
P.S - The VPN profile has local LAN access enabled, so while running the VPN on this server, I can still RDP onto it. Wanted to make that clear before anyone asks.

Afraid I don't know. Could you use an external VPN endpoint/router instead?

Try openvpn if you are unable to get this to work. You can do point to point as a service this way.

If your using Cisco VPN Client. Then there is an option to prevent it from disconnecting when logging off. It's under the [Options] menu in [Windows Logon Properties]
