Hi..

Currently our campus have at about 200 Cisco swithes....My current practice managing the switches stated below :

1- Username & Password : Need to telnet to individual switch everytime to change the password & create new username.

2- Upgrade IOS: Upgrade the IOS using web interface one by one...(It's broke my thumb)

3- Backup logg & configuration : Every switches is configured with kron function & ftp account to push the logg files & configuration file to our FTP server

How to solve this traditional method? If possible with low cost budget method and Cisco solution method.

Please advice.

Thanks

For updating the IOS, have a look at "IOS Auto-Upgrade Manager". www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ioss...900aecd806d1fd6.html

Also have a look at these tools:

Orion Network Configuration Manager : www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/configuration_manager/

Cisco Configuration Assistant: www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/netm...900aecd80603104.html

Not sure if they are in your price range though.

Studying CCNP...
